B is for Book Week

What a lot of fun Book Week has been.  Our school library looks great and has been rethemed "Books are Windows into Worlds".  There were lots of fun activities this week at school, we loved having Juliette MacIver visit and share her books with us.

We were lucky to have her read her newest book Gwendolyn to us...we were the first children in New Zealand to see this book...can't wait for it to hit the shops!

We love her Maramaduke stories .. it was very cool when she sang her song to us ...

K is Ka Pai

Ka Pai Room 6 - you did an awesome job of sharing the Korero Mai song with your buddy class,  and your Pepeha's at our school assembly.  I was very proud of you and am sure all the families who stayed were too.

P is for Pepeha

We have had a great first week back, Term 2 has started well in Room 6.

We are busy working on our Pepeha's.  The children all have a line each to learn, you might have helped them at home.

Today we got busy doing a display.  It is still "a work in progress"

We are planning on getting these finished over the next week to have ready to display while doing our assembly presentation.

You are welcome to join us at our School Assembly next Friday 13th May in the hall at 9:10.
